Went out looking for shaggy manes, found abundant amanitas, including a wealth of psychedelics, and a small collection of manes. Manes only present on clay hill by lake under conifer needle cover. Amanitas all along deer trails in thorny brambles and among autumn olives. All amanitas in fairy circles, also observed in lawns.
- Coprinus comatus
- Amanita muscaria
Nature - Hiking - Ink
Working on making a detailed diagram of the skeletal system of Makaira nigricans (Blue Marlin) However I cannot find enough sources to complete this. Google is not too helpful. I have also been searching for Ichthyology textbooks that contain this info. I may make a trip to the library soon. If anyone has any sources that can help me PLEASE let me know!! :)
One of my latest creations. A music box I made with scientific illustrations from certain works such as the Pinax Microcosmographicus, a anatomical flap book written by Johann Remlin 1667, Harvey Cushings illustration of the brain during surgery, and other various medical books.
The box plays an eerie tune that I unfortunately don’t know the name of, but it gives the box a sense of macabre. If I must say, I’m quite pleased with it.
