Andrewsarchus— work in progress
-
Name: James Schlitt
Date: 8/30/2012
Time: 4-6 PM
Weather: ~75°F, light cloud cover
Location: Mcafee’s Knob Peak
Observations:
Very brisk hike, didn’t stop & smell the roses. Some early appearance of acorns. Berries totally absent, no blackberry types available in power line corridor. Dramatic change in fauna near top. Found interesting monocot isolated to peak boulder cracks.
Captions:- Spiked clusters of leaves, like rosemary leaves or play jacks.
- Clover like white flowers, reddish inner hue, compound.
