Archosaur Musings: What is your favourite piece of palaeo art that you have produced?
Larry Felder: My favorite piece is more a life study of one of my favorite dinosaurs, Parasaurolophus, that I did for my book “In the Presence of Dinosaurs”. I did an extended series of paintings of the animal, from adults, to courtship displays, nesting sites, hatchlings and behaviorial studies.
I don’t think i’ve even made a post about these yet? Even though they’re my favourite dinosaurs…
Males and females had different sized crests, meaning obvious sexual dimorphism in appearance- and possibly also in voice, if their crests were indeed used to amplify sounds. They would have lived in swampy, forested areas, feeding on water plants and tough vegetation which was processed with their extremely efficient tooth batteries.
Okay guys, I seriously need some help. I’m making new self-promotional postcards and I want to make the main image side my Parasaurolophus in striped layers. Only problem is… I’m awful at adding backgrounds on things that are multi-colored. So PLEASE tell me what you think I should do to make this better. I’m at such a loss… :(
UM i spent about a quarter of today drawing these idk i reffed the skeletons and added the rest??
parasaurolophusss i like the shapes of hadrosaurs, they’re like triangles idk i had problems with his ischium??? ah well
AND my first attempt at a tyrannosaurus rex since drawing them when i was like 5 haha its head looks kind of dodgy?? like not tyrannosaurus rexy at all i dunno
ALSO I CANNOT DRAW FEET AT ALL so excuse my poor attempt at scaly mitts
