Vladimir Nabokov’s butterfly maps, photos, and delicate, detailed drawings are precious. In “Speak, Memory” he wrote, “I have hunted butterflies in various climes and disguises; as a pretty boy in knickerbockers and sailor cap; as a lanky cosmopolitan expatriate in flannel bags and beret; as a fat hatless old man in shorts”.
What are my obsessions and where will they take me?

Butterfly Triptych, watercolor. These are all about 18” x 24” each, I believe. I’m not sure how ‘done’ the middle piece is. I’d take any critiques of it, if anyone has anything!
