Here are some color studies I did recently, referencing some amazing stuff from both Peck and Gottfired Bammes. Lately I’ve been not only really interested in doing these anatomy drawings, but I’ve also been realizing how important it really is to know this stuff when it comes to illustration. So I’ve been trying to do as many anatomy studies as possible.

Here are some more quick anatomy studies, this time I’m working in ink. I was studying from my copy of Atlas of Human Anatomy by Stephen Rogers Peck. Aside from whatever sketchbook I’m working on, it’s the one book I never leave the house without.
