  • Connecticut State Museum of Natural History hosts ‘Scientific Illustration – Wildlife!’ workshop

The Connecticut State Museum of Natural History presents a scientific illustration workshop from 10 a.m. to noon, July 21.

The Connecticut State Museum is partnering with the Department of Biological Sciences at University of Connecticut to bring scientific illustrator, Virge Kask, to the event.

The workshop will offer insight into scientific illustration. Participants will look closely at a variety of animals from the museum’s collection and Kask will demonstrate the best ways to capture the creatures in art.

Participants will receive a folder with information about scientific illustration and supplies for making your own illustrations in the classroom.

The program fee is $20 for non-members and $15 for museum members. Advance registration is required.

This program is for adults and children ages 8 and above. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
