  • Anonymous asked: I'm looking for sources for Celt history, specifically the Hallstatt era ~300-400 b.c. I'd like to put celt people in my reconstructed villages, but am unsure what sources to trust. Help?

There are a couple of books scanned at archive.org with good illustrations of artifacts:

Das Grabfeld von Hallstatt in Oberösterreich und dessen Alterthümer

Manuel d’archéologie préhistorique celtique et gallo-romaine

    This looks good:

‘Celtic’ Clothing (with Greek and Roman Influence)from the Iron Age-a Realistic View Based on What We Know

    And this book seems reliable:

Hallstatt textiles: technical analysis, scientific investigation and experiment on Iron Age textiles
