Traditional Botanical Painting and Drawing

This 21 week course is primarily aimed at both beginners and those wishing to improve existing skills and provides a sound foundation for drawing and painting botanical plants from observation.

Jenny Brooks is a professional art teacher who specialises in botanical painting and drawing. She trained at Bath Academy of Art and has taught professionally for over twenty years. She has taught in adult education since 1990.

The use of line, texture, tone and light on form are the key learning elements in the drawing sessions; the use of watercolour, mixing colours and painting from observation will then follow.

Materials are not provided but advice is available to new students.
