Explore in-depth various marine life species to create highly detailed illustrations. A scientific illustration exhibits accuracy, is an idealized image to ensure easy identification across specimens, and has the inclusion of any distinct characteristics or various stages of the animal such as color variations or variations among males, females and juveniles within a species.Pencil will be used to capture as much detail as possible, then watercolor will be explored to add depth and realism. Sketchbook, camera,and additional materials will be required.
Grades: 1 - 12
Cost: 240 + $30 Lab Fee
